About the Spring Seminar
The CIPS Saskatchewan Spring Seminar 2010 is a 2-day conference held on March 23rd and 24th. It creates a unique opportunity for you to learn and grow with other members of your IT ecosystem. The conference brings to Regina internationally-renowned speakers to discuss topics including the challenges and technology surrounding information privacy and security, engineer productivity at Google, Open-Source software alternatives, and how the Industrial Revolution shapes our world today.
This year's conference has more speakers, more content, and an updated format. The updated format features in-depth sessions, as well as regular sessions and keynotes. In one of the in-depth sessions, author and teacher Linda Rising explores the power of retrospectives: a time where teams reflect on the past in order to become more effective in the future. In another, software engineer Nathaniel Schutta discusses user interface design and software usability. In the Lunch Keynote, law professor and internationally syndicated columnist Dr. Michael Geist discusses the "Canadian copy-fight" experience.
